Two today

Just something I was fiddling with today. Considering illustration is not my forte, these two turned out rather cute. :)

As we pick some stuff from my mum’s friend house, the aunt next door wants to send some things as well, so does our flat mates upstairs. By the end of it our backseats are over flowing with an assortment of things. There are blankets and pillows, warm clothes, socks and shoes. My friends text frantically and a small entourage heads towards the PAF museum donation camp. And what a sight it was,
rows upon rows of people in rickshaws, cabs, bikes, cars, trucks and loader vans were queued up infront of the PAF parking lot.

We see many familiar faces. Scores of youngsters are scurrying around, unloading and unpacking stuff from the cars and trucks, sorting out medicines, packing and labeling food items. Many medical students were busy putting aside antibiotics and painkillers, anti depressants and cough syrups. We started sorting out the stuff there then moved towards the shoe section. There are huge mounts of shoe bags that we start putting into sacks. We teamed up with two families. An auntie, uncle and their teenage son and couple of young boys and girls. I ended up chatting to a corporate lawyer with who I was tying sacks. Her enthusiasm was infectious. Soon the small group was on first name basis. Karachities had set out in droves, in all shapes and sizes, on every possible mode of transportation. It was a sight to hold onto forever.
